The Gotham Fencing Academy’s purpose is to run fencing training camps to develop an American tradition for US fencing. GFA has run camps at the NYAC (New York Athletic Club), Regis High School (NYC), Peninsula Fencing (San Fran), as well as many other locations nationally.

Patrick Durkan is the founder and head administrator of the camps. He is the head sabre coach at the NYAC; head coach of Hunter college; many time national champion; US team member, 4 time all american, 4 time all Ivy, and world cup medalist.
