Gotham Fencing Summer Camp

Where:

Regis High School - 55 East 84th St., NYC

When:

Week of August 4th to 8th and 11th to 15th

Who:

Beginner to intermediate level sabre fencers ages 13 to 18

Time:

9: a.m. ‘til 3: p.m. Monday through Friday

Coach:

Patrick Durkan, head coach for both Gotham Fencing and Regis Fencing. Additional staff hired based on enrollment.

Cost:

$300 per week for Regis Students; $550 for two weeks

$500 per week for non-Regis Students; $900 for two weeks

Includes:

Group lessons, footwork lessons, three personal lessons per week, dietitian seminar, strength training class, cardio condition classes, lunch/snacks, minimum one assistant coach per ten students.

Goals:

1.) Achieve well-rounded athletic fitness level.

2.) Learn basic footwork for modern fencing.

3.) Develop basic tactical fencing skills.

4.) Learn proper bouting approach.

5.) View videos of world level competitions with explanations.

6.) Learn proper eating habits for both training as well as competing.
