Mission Statement
Gotham Fencing Academy is a not for profit founded as the dream of two men who have been fencing since the age of five, Patrick J. Durkan and Paolo Roselli.
Our Mission is to continue the tradition of the modern Olympics in building character and instilling integrity from the earliest age while developing strong personal character through the sport of fencing.
We do this by
• instructions in the Hungarian & Italian methods
• concentration on footwork and ‘the basics’
• regular practices
• teamwork
• competition
• ultimately leading to the Olympic Championships
Gotham Fencing Academy Foundations goal is the promote the sport of fencing by:
1.) Promoting sports ethics.
2.) Supporting Olympic hopefuls.
3.) Laying the ground work for the next US Olympic Medalist.
